At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day :: After all of the planning, checklists and timelines passed by, we just DANCED and had the time of our lives being surrounded by so much love & happiness from our closest friends and family. At one point, we both remember the band busting out to Outkast, the dance floor jammed with guests jumping up and down, and us looking at each other while simultaneously saying “this is so much fun.” I remember getting happy-sad at that moment too because I didn’t want the night to end!
What was your favorite detail from your wedding day :: We are suckers for late-night snacks, especially after a fun night out in Chicago, and are known for smashing junk food together. We wanted to bring an element of Chicago to Charleston and created happy meal boxes for guests to enjoy as a late-night snack. The boxes included a “Chicago-Style” Vienna Beef hot dog, French fries and a mini Coca-Cola bottle which hit the dance-floor while two wedding guests (yet to be identified), dressed as the Blues Brothers, performed “Sweet Home Chicago” with our band. We also brought in our favorite Chicago treat, Garrett’s Popcorn, which was packaged in mini popcorn boxes and kept our guests poppin’ as they departed for our after-party!
Laura + Eric, we seriously love you both!! Congrats. xoxo
