Caroline + Zack’s day was absolutely PERFECT!! These two lovebirds love all things Auburn and we love the way they incorporated that into their wedding with class. After almost five years together, these two are MARRIED and we couldn’t help but ask Caroline a few questions about their gorgeous day…
Tell us about your wedding! How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day? Anything special that you planned and couldn’t wait to see come together?
Where do we start?!? Classic and Whimsy. We incorporated white hydrangeas with ginger jars (Caroline’s FAV decor piece) with a few white roses and candles EVERYWHERE! We wanted our family and friends to feel as though they were at someone’s home and so relaxed, and that they just enjoyed dancing the night away! The soft blue tones complimented the white hydrangeas and wooden signs, as well as all the greenery, as we were going for a Seaside/beach vibe.
Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks?
Our first look. The moment I tapped Zack on the back, we just fell into each other’s arms, crying happy tears, for almost two minutes straight. Our emotions were so high and we just couldn’t stop crying. After the crying fest, we were ready to become husband and wife and get to celebrating becoming one! We will never forget this moment as it was the most special part of our wedding day.
What’s your favorite thing that you decided to include or spend money on?
Well, not that it was a bucket load because he was very reasonable, but our DJ, Jeff Braner, Music for the Occasion, just knocked it out of the park. We can’t say enough positive things about him. He literally made the night! Caroline’s mother lost her voice for several days after the wedding. Needless to say, we were SO happy Jeff was apart of our day!
What did you love most about working with OLAS?
Jen was so welcoming and laid back, it felt like our friend was photographing the wedding! Zack hates taking pictures almost as much as he despises Alabama football, but Jen was able to make it bearable for him! We thoroughly enjoyed working with the OLAS team.
How, if at all, are you incorporating elements from your wedding into your home or everyday life? Anything special that you’re excited to keep for years to come?
We plan to place TONS of wedding photos throughout our house, as well as scrapbooking all memories! There are so many things that we can’t wait to keep and use over the years, like our wedding koozies, but we have kept Zack’s groom’s cake! It was made out of all styrofoam, and I plan on keeping the cake topper (Auburn rolled tree) because who could throw something like that away? WAR EAGLE
What does it feel like to finally be married?
ALL THE FEELS. We are still on cloud 9 and probably will be for a while. Our wedding was the most special day of our lives, and we plan to keep living in that moment as newlyweds for a few years!
